2022: A year with a strong Abarth presence on a global level

2022 was a particularly dynamic year for Abarth, with the Scorpio brand, among other things, significantly expanding its global presence. As one would expect from a brand with Abarth's history in this expansion, its involvement in racing played a dominant role. In 2022 a total of six Formula 4 institutions chose the Tatuus F4 T421 cars to be powered by Abarth's 180bhp T-Jet engine, a set that also powers the production 695 series models. In Italy, Germany, Spain, Great Britain, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates, the roar of the Abarth engine is enabling more than 130 young drivers from 41 countries to take their first steps in racing cars. Among them is the Greek, Giorgis Markogiannis, who is competing in the Italian event.

Abarth's dynamic presence in 2022 is also confirmed with the launch of the new Abarth Pulse, a model designed specifically for the Brazilian market and marking the brand's return to the country. The unveiling of the model was ideally combined with the Formula 4 Championship there, where the Abarth Pulse took on the role of safety car.

Finally, the recent unveiling of the new, all-electric Abarth 500e was the brand's ideal entry into the era of electrified mobility. The dynamic model will initially be available in Europe, with the plan to then make it available in markets such as those of Australia, Brazil, Israel and Japan, where Abarth is already extremely popular. Significantly, of all sales of the 500 in the Land of the Rising Sun, the 40% is for the 595/695 series versions of the Abarth.
