New Hyundai i30: Design improvements and cutting-edge technologies

Hyundai Motor has revealed its range of re i30 featuring upgraded design and cutting-edge technologies. With a range of hatchback, fastback and tourer models, as well as the N Line sports version, customers have plenty of choice from the i30 range.

The new i30 is equipped with enhanced connectivity technologies and comfort features, which makes the i30 even more competitive in its class, but also offers greater value to customers.

Launched in 2007, the i30 is already in its third generation. With a refreshed exterior and interior, the new generation adds a bolder design as a key feature.

The exterior is instantly recognisable by its distinctive front and stylish rear. At the front, the grille design, the bumper insert under the license plate and the fog lamp housings have been redesigned. At the rear of the bodywork in the hatchback and tourer versions, the chrome insert on the rear bumper has a sharper appearance. Headlamps and rear LED lights are now available as standard on the new i30. The model also features 16-inch alloy wheels with a new design.

The New i30 will be available in 12 exterior colours of which six are new: Ecotronic Grey Pearl, Ultimate Red Metallic, Jupiter Orange Metallic, Meta Blue Pearl, Cypress Green Pearl and Sailing Blue Pearl. The returning colours include : Atlas White, Serenity White Pearl, Shimmering Silver Metallic, Shadow Grey, Abyss Black Pearl and Engine Red.

The design renewal of the New i30 continues inside the model.

The black interior can be combined with four modern seat trims: fabric, fabric & leather, leather as well as suede and leather.

With its design upgrade, the New i30 N Line has been given even sportier characteristics with the bolder mesh on the grille and the triple horizontal lines in red that decorate the leather & suede interior. Customers can choose between 17-inch and 18-inch N Line alloy wheels (depending on the engine) with the striking new design.

The upgraded connectivity features of the new i30 offer customers a more comfortable in-car experience. New features include a standard 10.25" digital instrument panel, three USB Type-C charging ports front and rear, Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates and full LED headlights front and rear.

The new i30 now comes standard with even more Hyundai Smart Sense safety features. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) helps to detect and avoid potential accidents with obstacles ahead. For safer driving on highways, Lane Following Assist (LFA) keeps the vehicle in the current lane and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) alerts the driver with audible and visual warnings when the vehicle exceeds the speed limit. The Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) system warns the driver if the tailgate was opened during travel with a message on the dashboard displays; to prevent anyone from remaining in the rear seat.

As an option, customers can choose FCA with Junction Turning for increased safety when turning left at junctions and Highway Driving Assist (HDA) 1.5, which maintains the vehicle's distance from another vehicle and automatically adjusts the vehicle's speed according to the limit, keeping it in the current lane.

To improve fuel efficiency, customers can choose an engine with a 48V Hybrid system. This system supports the internal combustion engine by adding electric power during various driving stages such as starting, acceleration and recovery, improving performance and reducing fuel consumption.

Production of the new i30 will start in April 2024 at Hyundai's production plant in Nošovice, Czech Republic and is expected to be launched in the Greek market in the coming months.
