The seventh iteration of VivaTech, a prominent European affair that spotlights technological advancements and innovation, is slated to occur at the Paris Expo (Porte de Versailles) from the 14th to the 17th of June.

Known for its leadership in electric technology, and having an impressive history in Formula E dating back to 2015 (with 4 championship titles, 16 victories, 47 podiums, 22 pole positions), DS Automobiles could not afford to miss this grand occasion. DS Automobiles, the luxury brand of the Stellantis Group, is set to exhibit the DS E-TENSE FE23, a single-seater that is currently competing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, a platform that emphasises the cutting-edge technologies in the sphere of electric motorsport.

Engineered and perfected by DS Performance, the competitive division of DS Automobiles, the DS E-TENSE FE23 is the quickest Formula E vehicle ever built, reaching a maximum speed of 280kph on a city circuit. It is not only lighter than the second-generation single-seater that preceded it but also considerably more efficient, boasting a braking regeneration capacity surpassing 40 per cent.

The DS E-TENSE FE23 also outperforms its 350kW predecessor, with all four wheels regenerative. A front powertrain contributes an additional 250 kW to the 350kW supplied by the rear, thus doubling the regeneration capacity of the Gen2 to deliver a total output of 600 kW. The DS E-TENSE FE23, piloted by Jean-Eric Vergne from France – the only double champion in Formula E history – and Stoffel Vandoorne from Belgium – the current champion, stands out as one of the most formidable single-seaters in Season 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Leveraging all the expertise amassed in Formula E, DS Automobiles is speeding up the transition of its technology to electrified production vehicles, a move that promises significant advantages to its clientele, who can look forward to entirely electric cars from the brand starting 2024. DS Automobiles, having recently marked its 100th Formula E race, will present the stunning DS E-TENSE FE23 in Hall 2, a space devoted to sport innovation.

“The DS E-TENSE FE23 embodies the relentless effort and expertise of DS Performance’s engineering team, encapsulating the latest in electric automotive technology. It is only appropriate that our single-seater finds its place at the core of the VivaTech exhibition, renowned as Europe’s premier tech event. It is both an immense honour and an exhilarating joy to present a vehicle that signals the future of electric mobility to a discerning and passionate audience.”, Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance Director.
