Volvo Cars is right to pride itself on showing the future in car and human related technologies with a brand new, innovative service! Launching the world's first in-car delivery technology!

 Through the service, Christmas toys, gifts, food, drinks and other goods will be delivered directly to Volvo owners' cars. The Swedish brand's partners are PostNord, the largest delivery and communication company in Scandinavia, Lekmer.com, a leading Scandinavian force in online toy and baby goods retailing, and Mat.se, a Swedish company active in online retailing of everyday consumer goods. 

In-car delivery brings back the joy of Christmas, eliminating some of the more unpleasant aspects of seasonal shopping, such as the desperate search for a parking space in a crowded city centre, stressed consumer crowds and the frustration of not being able to find the desired product or expected deliveries that were not made in time or even ...never.

The service is easy to use. Volvo owners, after buying gifts, drinks, food, beverages or whatever else they want online, simply select direct delivery during the online checkout process. Direct delivery to the car works by using a digital key, which is sent to the distributor and through which one-time access to the car's trunk is granted. When the goods are delivered to the vehicle, the owner receives a notification that their shopping has been delivered and is neatly stowed in the car.

This service simplifies and facilitates shopping," said Björn Annwall, Senior Vice President Sales, Marketing and Customer Service at Volvo Cars. "Volvo's direct-to-car delivery is solid proof that automotive networking technologies can be used to save people time and make their lives easier."
