The end of the partnership between Alfa Romeo and Antonio Giovinazzi

In 2019, Antonio Giovinazzi became the first Italian driver since 2011 to participate fully in a Formula 1 season. He has so far competed in 59 races with the team, including two races with Sauber in 2017, when he replaced the injured Pascal Wehrlein.

 

Antonio is an extremely popular guide for the public, but also for the other members of the team. He was an excellent professional and helped the team evolve by always giving the 100% on and off the track. His best result was a 5^η position in the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix, and provided important moments for the team, including leading the Singapore race in 2019, as well as being in Q3 of qualifying on several occasions.

 

Alfa Romeo wishes Antonio, an excellent driver and man, all the best for his future as he opens a new chapter in his career.
