Nissan e.dams on the podium at the Formula E race in Mexico

The Nissan e.dams team competed in last weekend's exciting ABB FIA Formula E World Championship at the Mexico E-Prix, with #22 LEAF driver Oliver Rowland winning Super Pole and finishing third in an action-packed double-header at the new Autodromo Miguel E. Abed.

Rowland took an early lead in round nine of the 2020-21 electric series, but his aggressive, early Attack Mode strategy wasn't enough to secure the lead. He ultimately finished fourth in the race, but Werhlein received a five-second penalty for improper use of FanBoost, which "bumped" Rowland up to third.

Nissan is competing in this world championship to bring the excitement and enjoyment of driving zero-emission electric vehicles to a global audience. As part of its goal to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations and product lifecycle by 2050, Nissan intends to "electrify" its upcoming models by the early 2030s. Nissan is targeting the benefits derived from its experience in electrification and the transfer of knowledge and technology between racing and everyday road conditions to deliver better electric vehicles to the consumer audience.

Είναι απογοητευτικό που χθες (Σάββατο 19 Ιουνίου 2021) αποκλείσθηκε για διαδικαστικό τεχνικό θέμα της FIA. Σήμερα (Κυριακή 20 Ιουνίου 2021) ξεκινήσαμε στην pole position, αλλά τα αποτελέσματα της P3 δείχνουν ότι ενώ έχουμε ανακτήσει τον ρυθμό στον αγώνα, δεν είμαστε ακόμα στην κορυφή. Δυστυχώς, ο Sebastien δεν είχε την σιγουριά που έπρεπε όλο το Σαββατοκύριακο. Χρειάζεται να βελτιωθούμε περαιτέρω.”

The Formula E championship will continue in New York for rounds 10 and 11 on July 10 and 11 respectively.
