Porsche CEO: "Tesla, no more Tesla;"

Matthias Muller, the CEO of the German sports car manufacturer, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal  "declared war" on Tesla. As he said, he doesn't pay much attention to Elon Musk's company, and asked if there is anything Porsche can learn from Tesla, Muller pointed to Tesla's recent financial losses

    Did you read the financial results Tesla released yesterday? Did you happen to read those numbers?

Tesla posted a loss of $154 million in the first quarter of the year, despite record Model S deliveries and sharp revenue growth. Analysts are now raising questions about Tesla's cash reserves and expect that the Model X will have to sell very well for Tesla to show profitability.

Tesla is valued at close to $30 billion , with Muller saying that Porsche, which has three plug-in hybrid cars on the market and is preparing an all-electric model to rival the Tesla Model S filled in:

    I can't say anything about Tesla. I don't know anything about Tesla.

Porsche's CEO may be ignoring Tesla, but he's not ignoring electric cars.

    There is no doubt that the future of motoring will include battery-powered cars, with the big question being when this will happen. This technology has problems today

Muller said, stressing that cost, lack of infrastructure and autonomy are the biggest problems facing electric cars today. However, he stressed that industry and governments need to work together to solve these problems.
