Ford : Black Friday or is it Green Saturday?

Most consumers in Germany and the UK
prefer the delivery of their online orders to be made by
electric vehicles, as shown by research conducted on behalf of the
Ford.

From the British, the 58% expressed its preference for
delivery services via electric vehicles, while the corresponding percentage in the
Germany was formed at 54%.

Surprisingly, the 49% of the Brits who participated
in the survey appeared willing to wait longer for "green"
deliveries, while the figure for the Germans was 38%. The number of buyers
who would not object to incurring an additional charge for deliveries via
environmentally friendly vehicles was lower - but nevertheless, for
τους Βρετανούς το ποσοστό αυτό ήταν 28% και για τους Γερμανούς αντίστοιχα 21%.

Ford carried out the survey involving 1,000 people from across the UK
and Germany to better understand consumer attitudes towards the
in electrification. Given the lockdown due to COVID-19, the Today's Black Friday is expected to be the biggest in history, causing an increase in delivery vehicle traffic for home deliveries
orders.

There are currently over 32 million vehicles on the road
van type on European roads and Ford has already started to launch electric versions of the
of its most popular commercial van models in Europe - as part of a commitment of more than 11.5 billion
dollars to electrify its range.

"Shopping from home is pretty much the "new normal"
and it is encouraging that for many consumers it has a particular
importance of the way of delivery of orders. We help delivery companies to reduce
carbon footprint with our hybrid and zero-emission vans, including the upcoming, fully electric E-Transit," said Dave Petts, market lead, urban electrified vans, Ford Europe.

The Ford Transit Custom Plug-In Hybrid already sold throughout Europe and combines an efficient and cost-effective
1.0L EcoBoost petrol engine with sub-floor battery. This advanced system
προσφέρει αμιγώς ηλεκτρική αυτονομία μέχρι 50 km και συνολική 500 km, με την
support of innovative geofencing technology that automatically switches to a motion program with zero
pollutant emissions. Businesses can also define their own geographic areas of emissions
zones to improve air quality in sensitive areas
such as schools, parks and warehouses.

The Ford E-Transit that recently saw the light of day marks a major change
for urban van-type delivery vehicles. This electric model offers the same loading capacity as the diesel models.
Transit και στοχεύει σε αυτονομία 350 km, επιτρέποντας σε αστικές εταιρείες να χρησιμοποιούν τις συνήθεις διαδρομές
regardless of load and weather.
