In the aftermath of the Oscars, we bring you the 5 petrol head movies of 2017.
H αλήθεια είναι ότι το 2016 ήταν η πιο φτωχή ποσοτικά αλλά και ποιοτικά για ταινίες με θέμα και πρωταγωνιστή το αυτοκίνητο. Το 2017 έρχεται δριμύτερο κι μάλλον θα μας προσφέρει άφθονες και αξέχαστες καταδιώξεις με την επιστροφή των μεγάλων franchises όπως το Fast and Furious το Transformers και το Cars 3 της Disney-Pixar. Κάποιες θα αγαπήσουμε για τα ωραία συναισθήματα που θα προκαλέσουν, βλέπε Cars 3, άλλες για την αδρεναλίνη που θα χτυπήσει κόκκινο και άλλες για τα supercars που θα παρελάσουν από τις οθόνες μας με το στροφόμετρο στα κόκκινα. Πάμε λοιπόν να δούμε ποιες είναι οι ταινίες που θα μας κάνουν να ονειροπολούμε… οδήγηση.

The Fate of the Furious

Who would have imagined that a racing movie would be such a success, now well into its eighth version. The Fast and Furious franchise has become an unstoppable cash-generating machine, to the point where the latest film broke all box office records and has now reached 1.5 billion in grosses, making it, the sixth most profitable film series of all time. The first three films were unsurpassed, but now with the sudden loss of Paul Walker just before the filming of Chapter 7 was completed, the big guns have been called in and we don't mean the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray but Charlize Theron as the villainous character, Kurt Russell, the return of Eva Mendes after six films and the nuclear weapon Jason Statham.

The plot seems interesting, though we don't care, with Toretto's involvement turning against his family because of Charlize Theron. We're looking forward to April with anticipation.

Cars 3

The legendary and lovable Lightning McQueen has been taken to task by a new generation of ultra-high-speed hybrid hypercar racers photographing the changes in the automotive industry. The older, and mechanically simple McQueen looks outdated and is being put out of the race for

the good. There she will need the help of an enthusiastic and charismatic technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plans to win, along with inspiration from the Fabulous Hudson Hornet and some unexpected surprises. The goal is to prove that the number 95 hasn't eaten his bread yet and will test the heart of the champion on the biggest track in Piston Cup Racing. The film still appeals to children by offering life lessons, but adults have a lot to offer this summer as well.

Transformers : The Last Knight

Action master Michael Bay, in his latest Transformers film, has said it will be The Last Knight. It will see the return of several of the previous films such as Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Stanley Tucci, John Turturro, John Goodman and Peter Cullen, while there are many new additions to the cast which, in addition to the great Anthony Hopkins, includes Isabela Moner, Jerrod Carmichael, Laura Haddock, Santiago Cabrera, Liam Garrigan and Mitch Pileggi. The robot and car action steals the show with an Aston Martin DB11, a Mercedes-AMG GT R, the Bumblebee Chevrolet a Lamborgini Centenario a Mercedes Unimog and a Mustang. The film will arrive in dark theaters in June 2017.

Collide

As a multi-octane action adventure we are introduced to the case of Collide, shot on the fast-paced German motorways. The story is about a robbery with a bad ending. Casey Stein (Nicholas Hoult) finds himself in the crosshairs of a ruthless gang led by mob boss Hagen (Anthony Hopkins). Casey has stolen a valuable shipment belonging to Hagen, who won't stop chasing him until he gets it back. With no other choice, Casey contacts his former boss, a drug dealer named Geran (Ben Kingsley), whom he assigns to protect his girlfriend Juliette (Felicity Jones) from Hagen's hands.
Το έργο φαίνεται τουλαχιστόν θεαματικό, και για αυτό ευθύνονται τα υπεραυτοκίνητα : Aston Martin Rapide S, Jaguar XFR, Mercedes SLS και το πεδίο δράσης, η γερμανική Autobahn. Θα προβληθεί στους κινηματογράφους το ερχόμενο καλοκαίρι. Ούτε εδώ μας ενδιαφέρει η πλοκή και το σενάριο, παρά μόνο η γεμάτη αδρεναλίνη καταδίωξη στους λεωφόρους της Γερμανίας, σε έναν αγώνα δρόμου με supercars με… πρόφαση να σώσει έγκαιρα τον έρωτα της ζωής του.

John Wick: Chapter 2

The legendary John Wick (Keanu Reeves) has retired from active duty, but is forced to return because an old enemy is paying a huge sum of money for John Wick to die. He happily returns with the same 1969 Ford Mustang and a Chevrolet Chevelle but with even more time to play American musclecars. The "contract of death" is international and hired assassins from all over the world are looking for him. But John is not an easy target and aiding him in his quest will be the American V8 engine. It's a joy for us viewers to hear the rumble of the American V8 and watch the nighttime chase through the streets of New York City. Also notable is that the likeable Keanu Reeves himself performs the dangerous action scenes for which stuntmen are usually enlisted. We don't have to wait because it's in cinemas now.
